Let me introduce me, my name is Patrik Mosquera, I have a Bachelor’s Engineering Degree on Computer Science from los Andes University. I complimented my studies with all the requirements of completion for a History Minor Diploma at the same university. My curiosity for the merging of audiovisual arts and technology led me to the Vancouver Film School. There I got a Diploma for New Media Production with an emphasis on Audio and Video production. All these in search of applying my knowledge and experience in content production and storytelling. This goes hand to hand with technology along with my passion for history and the many different world cultures.
I am a restless traveler, curious about the landscapes, cultures, and flavors of the world. I am also a music lover and a silver screen cinema fanatic. You could definitively say that I am addicted to the adventure that is discovering new roads, places, and cultures.
I love to participate on visual and media projects from an overarching perspective. That is maybe why I have tried to understand every element that makes up the visual media creation process. This is not only from theory but from its practice, therefore since the beginning of my visual creation career, I have to be involved in the different stages of pre-production, production, and pos-production.
None the less my strong suits are writing, directing and designing transmedia narratives. I must admit that I very much enjoy the editing stages of production.
Because of all of this for the last 14 years, the emphasis of my work has been on producing content on popular culture, folklore, and artistic expressions from Colombia. In more recent times I have a growing inclination for the African Diaspora storytelling. With the support of the vision that my own condition as an afro-descendent person gives me. Because I strongly believe and have the conviction that is us the inheritors of the African Diaspora who are called up on to tell our own stories.
Original Idea & Director “Ese Pelo Tuyo” Bogotá D.C. Ene 2016-. “Ese Pelo Tuyo” is a transmedia documentary which main purpose is to generate a large discussion about the hair of afro-descendent women. Through this discussion make visible all the elements behind the scenes that go beyond their aesthetics. These elements deal with a diversity of topics such as women’s empowering, history, discrimination, health, economy and many others. All these subjects tell us about a diversity of realities, but never the less they talk about unity as well. Among all the women who do belong to the African diaspora in the Americas. This project has been awarded a full invitation to the “2019 AFS Storytelling for Social Impact Workshop” as part of the scholar activities held by the American Film Showcase at the University of Southern California in L.A.
Director and executive producer for the Upcoming Independent Web Serie “Seis”(Six)(Six) Bogotá D.C. Jan - Mar 2017 Worked as a director and executive producer for the web series “Seis”, an original idea from Colombian horror novelist Alvaro Vanegas author of the horror novel "Mal Paga El Diablo" and other horror novels. The series is narrated across 8 episodes and tells the story of a reunion of six so-called friends. These “friends” that on behalf of an innocent dices game are going to know their darkest secrets in one night.

A story about girl power and femininity, the power of their sexuality and their total and complete independence from men. Extremely sensual and risqué tell, with no other purpose than alluring the senses and presenting the beautiful, elegant and sexy clothing designed by Maria Claudia Arboleda. Director for the Documentary Series Invisibles for the Public Access Network-Señal Colombia Nominated for the 31st India Catalina Televisión Awards™ 2015 as Best Social Inclusion Series ( Mejor Programa de Inclusión Social) Bogotá D.C. Ago 2013 - Ago 2014 Director and original idea, for the documentary series with an ethnical emphasis which goes about telling untold stories from the Afro-Colombian people. The stories belong to the colonial and independence period, where the black population made significant efforts and contributions to the construction of the firsts republics. The series was aired on Señal Colombia.
